Cost from Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi

• From Islamabad is cheapest and easiest, since both the flight and the road trip start here.

Skardu is a summer destination. The peak runs June to August, when both flights and hotels are at their most expensive and the best rooms sell out. The shoulder months of May, September and October offer lower prices, thinner crowds and still excellent weather, and they are the value sweet spot. The cherry blossom window in early spring is beautiful but commands premium tour rates.
